View / Print Resume PDF File James is a CG Modeler and Sculptor of toys, merchandise, and maquettes. He Began his
career at CalArts, Character Animation Program. There he found his passion for sculpting and started creating toys and maquettes for local Studios. Rhythm&Hues asked him to join their team in 1994. He left school, and became a sculptor and soon a CG modeler working on a number of commercials, ride films and movies. James has been fortunate to have worked at a number of Animation Studio as a CG modeler for many productions and has often collaborated with their teams to develop a sculptures for Studio Displays, maquettes, and production runs of crew gift maquettes He has worked at Disney Animation. Some of the projects he worked on were "Rapunzel", "Chicken Little" , "Meet The Robinsons", "BOLT" , Mickey' Philharmagic", "Disney's Dinosaur", "Prep and Landing" among others and help to create maquettes for Chicken Little and Meet the Robinsons and created a sculpture crew gift program for Meet the Robinsons. He worked at Dreamworks Animation on the following movies , "Puss n Boots" , "Turbo", and "How to Train Your Dragon 2" and worked with Dreamworks to develop studio awards and create large runs of crew gift maquettes for multiple productions teams. He has worked at Nickelodeon and also at Cinesite Animation and "Gnome Alone" and "Addams Family 2". He worked at Bron Animation as the Modeling Supervisor for the "Willoughby's". Then the Build and Creature HOD for DNEG, Montreal. Currently, He is the Character Modeling Lead at WildBrain Studios on the Netflix/Sega project "SonicPrime". he also creates Sculpts and crewgift maquettes for multiple studios.
